What inspires Nate is the tangibility of building. Seeing a property transformed into a living environment that serves the needs of its owner. Continually improving on the end product and the experience clients have with it. Delivering high quality, design-oriented homes that are accessibly priced. These are the most rewarding aspects of Nate’s job. And when he isn’t working? Nate enjoys running, photography and monopoly.
Nate thrives on the variety and challenge of integrating and shaping all aspects of the business: design, finance and client relationships-into what he calls a unique “interactive piece of art,” also known as the home. He prefers progressive architectural designs marked by warm tones, clean lines and an abundance of natural materials. What excites him most about the industry? People moving back to the city, neighborhood lifestyle and clients who value design as an integral part of their lives.
Destiny is what happened to Bob. He has two parents in sales and a grandfather who was a builder. Somehow, he ended up with both the building gene and the sales gene.
As a boy, Bob would build cities out of Legos and Lincoln Logs. They were elaborate and well planned. It was the beginning of his life-long passion for drawing and architecture. Bob has always dreamed about planning and designing and hopes to instill these same passions in his two daughters. They play Legos together and Bob helps them with drawing. He has gotten them involved in the house they all built together. Building their new home became a family adventure.
Bob views lifelong relationships with clients-what he calls “the human side” of the business-as his driving force. His inspiration comes from happy clients. He gives them all the personal and professional attention they deserve throughout the process. This is what motivates him to turn great design into reality.
For Kirk, who began helping his father when he was 12 years old, construction runs in the family. He comes from generations of Dutch builders who taught him the importance of craftsmanship and the discipline of the trade. His favorite architectural style? Craftsman, of course.
As anyone around the office will tell you, Kirk is a genius at problem solving. In spite of his long years in the business, he’s always learning new things: “It keeps me young.” Kirk says the same thing about his wife Judy, whom he met in the second grade. They have three daughters, two Welsh Terriers, and have lots of fun waterskiing, fishing, ice fishing, camping and going to the cabin.
As the youngest of the Streeter partners, Justin’s interest in construction began as a child joining his brother and late father Mark Streeter on project sites. Justin is thrilled to be approaching nearly twenty years in the family business. Though he’s a family insider, he spends most of his time as an outsider. That’s because he loves the freedom of being outdoors, working in the field. What he loves most about the industry is the opportunity to build some of the most incredible homes in the world using the industry’s most advanced methods and materials.
Justin is inspired by clients who raise the bar. While he doesn’t prefer one architectural style over another, he’s definitely into the details. He’s fascinated by the way design details-landscaping, building materials, lighting, color palette-all add up to create what he calls “the big picture.” These are the elements of design that create style and infuse energy into each home.
